Tucked deep inside the Bay of Nin, the small seaside village of Vrsi Mulo will win you over with a sea that — thanks to its sheltered position — is several degrees warmer than in the places around it.

The whole bay is rich in the well-known therapeutic mud whose physical and chemical properties have been confirmed by specialists from all over the world. Shallow, warm water and sand-and-pebble beaches make Vrsi Mulo an ideal destination for families with children: a child can wade dozens of metres from the shore and still be in plain sight.

The sea and the beaches

The beach is just 60 metres from the apartments — close enough to come back for lunch and go down again afterwards. The entry into the water is gentle and sandy, with no sudden drops, and by mid-summer the sea is warm enough to stay in for hours.

A paved promenade runs along the water and links the village with the coves around it. In the morning it fills with walkers and cyclists; in the evening it is the finest place for a slow stroll as the sun sets over the Bay of Nin.

Days out nearby

Nin is only 5 km away. One of the oldest Croatian towns and a former royal seat, it hides a monument at every turn — among them the church of the Holy Cross, often called the smallest cathedral in the world. The lagoon holds the old salt works and the famous Queen's Beach.

Zaton, 7 km away, offers everything Vrsi deliberately does not: tennis courts, mini-golf, jet skis, clubs and restaurants. Ideal for an evening out.

Zadar is close by. Its peninsula — with the Greeting to the Sun and the Sea Organ, the Roman forum and the church of St Donatus — makes one of the finest city walks on the Adriatic. Zadar is also the starting point for trips to the Kornati islands and to the Paklenica and Plitvice Lakes national parks.

Getting here

The village is linked to Zadar by regular bus services, and Zadar has the airport, the bus and railway stations and the ferry port. Arriving by car is simple: the A1 motorway and the Zadar exit, then the local road towards Nin and Vrsi.

The fenced yard has parking for 4 + 2 cars, so your vehicle stays right outside the house.
